Expatriates and International Living Concerns

I have lived in multiple countries and understand the challenges that often come with the expat and international living experience.  Beyond the stressful aspects of moving and resettling, to live, work or raise a family abroad can be much more manageable when we have support and community.  Whether you frequently move for your career or you are settled in one place, getting regular support from a trusted professional can make a huge difference in your capacity to thrive internationally.

People with Disabilities and Health Concerns

I have extensive experience working with people with disabilities and chronic health conditions.  Whether you are adjusting to a new medical condition, managing acute illness or injury, or living with a chronic health concern, I will support you in coping, affirming your strengths and addressing potential challenges.  I serve as co-chair of the Health and Medical Issues Special Interest Group of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) and have presented on disability-related topics at national and regional conferences since 2015.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals

I have extensive experience working with D/deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their families.  I received my doctorate at Gallaudet University and trained in Gallaudet's Mental Health Center and Springfield Hospital Center's Deaf Unit.  I highly value my connections to the Deaf Community and comprehend the realities of being Deaf in a hearing world.  I also have a strong understanding of acquired hearing loss throughout the lifespan and the significant adjustment involved.
